Main purpose and scope of the job:
Stop Domestic Abuse’s Head of People will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our people strategy, ensuring Stop Domestic Abuse remains a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing organisation. You will lead on all aspects of the organisation's human resources and Volunteer & Routes to Employment functions. This includes recruitment, retention, learning and development, talent and performance management, organisational change, well-being and employee relations. Your work will be instrumental in fostering a culture that reflects our values and enhances our ability to deliver impactful services to those in need.
The Head of People plays a crucial role in maintaining, shaping and implementing all HR policies ensuring compliance and legal obligations are met in order to achieve key organisational deliverables and objectives whilst maintaining high standards. While ensuring compliance with all HR legal requirements, our decisions are guided by and aligned with the core values of our organisation, fostering a workplace culture that reflects our mission and principles.
This role works collaboratively across the organisation to identify initiatives that support employee well-being, adding to the overall employee value proposition and staff satisfaction. Forming and nurturing relationships with external well-being providers to ensure staff needs are met as well as creating innovative ways of listening to staff voice.
This is a hands-on role in terms of employee relations and system/process development and is supported by a People Partner and two HR Assistants.
