Gill Butler (Chair)

Gill has worked in Children’s Social Work both in frontline and educational roles. She has worked as a senior manager in Higher Education and also has experience in Governance and Quality Assurance within Schools and Higher Education. She has been involved with domestic abuse charities for many years and is committed to holistic approaches to empowering women and children.

Wendy Osgood (Vice Chair)

Wendy has worked to educate and support children, young people and families within Education, Higher Education and Social Services over many years. Wendy has fundraised and supported Stop Domestic Abuse for many years and through many changes.

Julia Munday (Secretary)

Julia has worked in various capacities in the Social Services, Education and Housing sectors, mainly relating to community involvement and volunteer organising. Julia has a longstanding voluntary relationship with Stop Domestic Abuse.

Sara Walker (Treasurer)

Sara has over 30 years of Finance experience working in various industries. Sara is currently employed by a horticultural company as a Finance Manager.

Claire Godwin (MCIPD)

Claire is a qualified performance and leadership soft skills coach, specialising in Human Resources, team development, leadership, communication and staff engagement.

Claire currently works as a Transformation Manager within the NHS helping to identify and lead change.

Lauren Parrett

Lauren has worked as a housing professional for 9 years in a variety of roles in both the private and social housing sectors; and is currently Head of Services at an independent, charitable housing association.

Lauren promotes the empowerment of women across all aspects of life, as well as improving people’s lives in general, by being honest, equal, open, and respectful. Lauren strongly believes everyone should live in safe environment, where they feel valued; and her passion lies within housing management and helping households sustain their tenancies, while living in a safe environment.  Lauren also has great knowledge in repairs, maintenance and asset management.

Lauren sits on the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) South East Panel which strives to promote the professionalism of housing and facilitate networking opportunities in the region and is qualified to CIH Level 5.

Tracey Stakes

Tracey is a chartered accountant who worked as Finance Director and Chief Executive of a social care charity supporting older people in the North West. Her previous experience includes the housing sector and volunteering overseas. Tracey is currently a trustee for another local charity and also acts as an Independent Examiner for charitable organisations.

Margaret Poil

Margaret is a Chartered Legal Executive with expertise in landlord and tenant law, residential and commercial conveyancing, housing law and civil court actions.


 

Executive Leadership Team

 

Claire Lambon, Chief Executive

Claire has had a leadership role at Stop Domestic Abuse since 2001.  Claire’s qualifications include: Professional Diploma in Housing and Graduate Foundation Course in Housing (Solent University), Enabling Learning - Specialist Level (University of Chichester), Foundation Course in Fundraising and Certificate of Fundraising (Institute of Fundraising), Domestic Homicide Review Chair (OCN accredited).  She is an alumni of the fifth cohort of the “Leadership for Empowered and Healthy Communities Programme” (a programme aimed at leaders in health and social care who want to be part of a movement for change and reform) and in 2021 completed ACEVO’s Next Steps Leadership. Her experience in the domestic abuse/violence against women and girls sector includes frontline contact with survivors as well as strategic and organisational leadership and development. 

Rachel Windebank, Operations Director

Rachel has worked for Stop Domestic Abuse since 2011 and has held a number of leadership roles within the organisation including Service Manager. Rachel’s experience includes frontline contact with clients as well as operational and strategic management.  Rachel is a Children and Young People’s specialist.  Rachel has been integral to the success of many new projects including implementing new commissioned contracts across Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton.  Professional qualifications include Safe Lives Service Manager.

Helen O’Brien, Business Development Director

Helen has 20 years fundraising experience gained at leading social welfare, medical research, disability, education and environment charities. She is a corporate fundraising specialist and throughout her career has led successful partnerships with FTSE100 firms as well as businesses in the Solent region. Helen has extensive experience of bid writing and reporting and is a hands on team leader, with experience of leading teams to deliver successful projects across trusts, statutory, corporate and community fundraising streams.

Elaine Herlihy, Finance Director

Elaine has over 20 years experience working at an operational and strategic level within finance in the private sector, supporting SMEs to achieve their strategic objectives.  Since qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2009, Elaine’s experience includes automation and integration of systems, financial modelling, and leading transformational change within finance functions to support the needs of the business.  Elaine has gained experience from senior roles within different industries including domiciliary care, manufacturing, leisure, and retail.
