Stop Domestic Abuse is the commissioned provider of inclusive domestic abuse services for adults and children for Hampshire County Council and for the City Councils of Portsmouth and Southampton.
We provide community-based support to adults, children and young people affected by domestic abuse in need of advice, support and information tailored to their level of risk and support needs.
We support survivors to navigate the criminal justice system throughout all stages of their journey. Our expert colleagues support victims who have made the brave decision to speak up about the abuse they have experienced and take their case to court.
We deliver one-to-one and group work for adults, children and young people to help them understand domestic abuse and improve their safety; and we deliver innovative projects in schools.
We increase understanding of domestic abuse through training for professionals in other organisations; and awareness-raising events for the general public.
In Hampshire
We deliver the victim service contract commissioned by Hampshire County Council and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police & Crime Commissioner for the 11 Hampshire County Council districts working with our partner Finding Freedom from Abuse in the Test Valley. We provide safe accommodation across the County through our network of 13 refuges in towns and cities across Hampshire. Bespoke one-to-one support is provided to adult and child victims and perpetrators.
In Portsmouth
We deliver the domestic abuse support services commissioned by Portsmouth City Council and the Police & Crime Commissioner. We run 4 refuges across the city and deliver one-to-one support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse, children and young people affected by domestic abuse and people who use unhealthy and abusive behaviours and want to change.
In Southampton
Working with our partners Yellow Door and No Limits (Solent), we deliver the domestic abuse and sexual violence service commissioned by Southampton City Council and the Police & Crime Commissioner. We run 2 refuges in Southampton and provide comprehensive support to adults and children affected by domestic abuse.
