Domestic abuse happens to men too.

Whilst most domestic abuse is directed at women and girls, men can also be victims of domestic abuse, both in gay and straight relationships. We support men to overcome the impact of domestic abuse.

If you are a man who is a victim or survivor of domestic abuse you can access our support services which include our free confidential helpline run by highly trained and experienced domestic abuse advisers. They can offer you advice, information about local services and practical steps on how to keep yourself safe. They can refer you to a programme of support from one of our specialist domestic abuse practitioners. Our team provides both emotional and practical support, including help related to housing or navigating the criminal justice system.

If you are a man fleeing abuse, we can offer safe accommodation in one of our dispersed properties or support you to find alternative safe accommodation.

For me it was all about talking to someone. Sharing the experience of what I had been going through and knowing that I wasn’t on my own or being seen as weak. Speaking to someone who understands that it’s not just women who go through this.
