Main purpose and scope of the job:
Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to people using abusive/violent behaviours in their intimate and non-intimate relationships.
Empower and support individuals to make positive changes and to develop an individual support and safety plan.
Support clients in exploring and understanding the consequences and impact of their behaviours by challenging any justifications, minimisations or attitudes used.
Support men and women in acknowledging and addressing their unhealthy attitudes and behaviours in order to be free from domestic abuse and support them to build resilience and develop and improve their sense of confidence and self-worth.
Work in partnership with voluntary and statutory sector organisations and the community and strengthen and develop links with other services to increase collaborative working and understanding of the behaviour change services.
