Female*Domestic Abuse Health Advocate- STOPDA 503

Salary: Saturday - £5,987 pa

Location: Winchester/ Andover Hospitals

Hours: Saturday: 6 hours: 10.00am - 4.00pm

The postholder will also be required to attend clinical supervision for 1.5 hours during the month and management supervision 1.5 hours during the month.  Both of these will be on a weekday and the candidate will be paid.

Contract: Permanent

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

To develop and promote the Health Domestic Abuse Pathway for support.

To ensure that Emergency Departments (ED) and Maternity Services are aware of the pathway, understand how to ask the screening questions, record the information, and share this with relevant services. 

To attend the hospitals to provide support, guidance, training, and advice to staff on using the tools and also to advise on any concerns

Provide education to ED and Maternity Services on identification and the impact of domestic abuse.

Be a direct link for, ED and Maternity Services to refer patients suffering domestic abuse.

To assess patients risk, provide immediate safety advice and support and make referrals to the most appropriate services.

A driving licence and car owner is essential
