Gill Butler (Chair)
Gill has worked in Children’s Social Work both in frontline and educational roles. She has worked as a senior manager in Higher Education and also has experience in Governance and Quality Assurance within Schools and Higher Education. She has been involved with domestic abuse charities for many years and is committed to holistic approaches to empowering women and children.
Wendy Osgood
Wendy has worked to educate and support children, young people and families within Education, Higher Education and Social Services over many years. Wendy has fundraised and supported Stop Domestic Abuse for many years and through many changes.
Julia Munday (Secretary)
Julia has worked in various capacities in the Social Services, Education and Housing sectors, mainly relating to community involvement and volunteer organising. Julia has a longstanding voluntary relationship with Stop Domestic Abuse.
Sara Walker
Sara has over 30 years of Finance experience working in various industries. Sara is currently employed by a horticultural company as a Finance Manager.
Claire Godwin (MCIPD)
Claire is a qualified performance and leadership soft skills coach, specialising in Human Resources, team development, leadership, communication and staff engagement.
Claire currently works as a Transformation Manager within the NHS helping to identify and lead change.
Margaret Poil
Margaret is a Chartered Legal Executive with expertise in landlord and tenant law, residential and commercial conveyancing, housing law and civil court actions.

Maria Griffiths (Vice-Chair)
Maria brings over 13 years of experience in mental health, addiction and wellbeing services. With a proven track record in strategic leadership, including as Chief Operating Officer and now Head of Strategic Development at a non-profit, Maria is also a transformational coach and registered nurse.
Having worked directly with individuals experiencing domestic abuse, Maria has a deep, personal commitment to the cause. Her first-hand experience has shaped her understanding of the challenges faced by survivors and reinforced her drive to create meaningful, lasting change. As Vice-Chair, Maria is focused on enhancing the survivor voice, ensuring it is central to all of our work. She is committed to advancing our charitable objectives and driving forward the overall vision of a world without domestic abuse, where individuals are empowered, supported, and able to live fulfilling lives
Lauren Parrett
Lauren has worked as a housing professional for 9 years in a variety of roles in both the private and social housing sectors; and is currently Head of Services at an independent, charitable housing association.
Lauren promotes the empowerment of women across all aspects of life, as well as improving people’s lives in general, by being honest, equal, open, and respectful. Lauren strongly believes everyone should live in safe environment, where they feel valued; and her passion lies within housing management and helping households sustain their tenancies, while living in a safe environment. Lauren also has great knowledge in repairs, maintenance and asset management.
Lauren sits on the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) South East Panel which strives to promote the professionalism of housing and facilitate networking opportunities in the region and is qualified to CIH Level 5.
TRACEY STAKES
Tracey is a chartered accountant who worked as Finance Director and Chief Executive of a social care charity supporting older people in the North West. Her previous experience includes the housing sector and volunteering overseas. Tracey is currently a trustee for another local charity and also acts as an Independent Examiner for charitable organisations.
