Stop Domestic Abuse in Southampton

Southampton City Council (SCC) has awarded the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence contract to Stop Domestic Abuse.

This is an exciting development for Stop Domestic Abuse and reflects on the calibre and commitment of our staff team. It allows us to extend our services across the whole of Hampshire including the 11 Hampshire districts, Portsmouth and now, Southampton.

Together with our partners, we will provide:

  • Interventions for people who are displaying behaviours that would indicate they are vulnerable to returning to an abusive relationship. This will include 1:1 and group support.

  • Support offered to child victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse offering either 1:1 and/or group support.

  • Engagement and support for children who are made victims of domestic abuse including ‘drop in’ support where young people can seek help and advice.

  • Refuge accommodation.

  • Education and advocacy support to medical colleagues.

  • Recovery options including therapeutic support to victims.

  • Engagement and education around healthy relationships for young people.
