Operations Managers assume operational management responsibility for all aspects of Stop Domestic Abuse’s services including delivery of services, completion of monitoring and evaluation and identification of unmet/additional needs of clients. Services will be allocated to each Operations Manager but that allocation will be subject to service development, growth or change.

Main purpose and scope of the job:

Responsible for the operational management of all aspects of Stop Domestic Abuse’s services and projects.

Working with the Operations Director (Deputy CEO), Operations Managers, Business Development Director and Service Managers to identify additional needs or services, develop innovative solutions and provide information and context to support funding applications.

Presenting reports, statistics, updates on staffing, case studies etc to the Operations Director/Business Development Director, CEO and/or Board of Trustees as and when required.

Constantly monitoring, reviewing and adjusting health and safety arrangements as required.

Developing and maintaining an awareness of issues/current legislation related to domestic abuse, stalking and harmful practices through research and training events.

Leading, motivating and managing a team of managers to ensure that client’s needs are met within the objective of the service and in accordance with Stop Domestic Abuse’s ‘s policies and procedures.

Handling appeals of complaints and first stage of complaints if they relate to a Service Manager and participate in follow up investigations as required. To pass full reporting of complaints and feedback to the Operations Director, CEO and Trustees.

Recruiting, inducting, supervising, leading and developing staff within policy and quality standards and to provide a range of high-quality services.
