Salary: £16,489.20 - £17,131.20

Hours: 22.5 hours per week - Core hours (Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, hours to be discussed)

Main purpose and scope of the job:
The post holder will provide children and young people aged 5+ with one to one appointments that will aim to focus on safety, health and wellbeing, education, and family and friend relationships. Support will be delivered through age appropriate resources. As the Lead Navigator, you will also provide support to mothers both one-to-one and in group work around parenting, attachment and other issues that will improve relationships with their children. Additionally the Lead Navigator will also facilitate group activities for all children, which will include free and structed play sessions, formal group work and arts and craft activities. The Lead Navigator will provide expert advice and support to their colleagues to enrich the service with specialist knowledge. As a lead, they will support other agencies such as liaising with ELSA and SEN Coordinators. They will work as part of a team in the given locality delivering specialist high quality, safe and effective domestic abuse support to those experiencing domestic abuse.
The Portsmouth Service is staffed 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Staff will work evenings and weekends on a rota basis and provide on call services to deal with emergencies and refuge referrals.
It is essential that the postholder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes as this role covers multiple sites in Portsmouth.
