The Primary Care IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) will work across primary healthcare settings in Hampshire to improve the early identification and response to domestic abuse, ensuring victim-survivors can access timely, appropriate, and trauma-informed support.
Main purpose and scope of the job:
Working across GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks, and community health services to improve recognition and response to domestic abuse.
Providing specialist consultation, advice, and guidance to staff supporting patients experiencing domestic abuse.
Offering confidential advice, advocacy, and emotional support to victim-survivors identified within primary care, where appropriate.
Strengthen referral pathways between primary care and specialist services to ensure timely and appropriate support
Contributing to multi-agency working and attend relevant partnership or safeguarding meetings as required
Remaining up-to-date and compliant with all organisational procedures policies and professional codes of conduct and uphold standards of best practice.
