Main purpose and scope of the job:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a project addressing domestic abuse by delivering a behaviour change intervention to those using abusive and unhealthy behaviours within their intimate and non-intimate relationships.
This is an innovative project which aims to target all relationships impacted by domestic abuse in order to reduce the incidents of domestic abuse, break the cycle of abuse and prevent re-victimisation.
The programme is designed to facilitate those using abusive behaviours to recognise and manage emotions and thoughts, develop healthier relationships and acquire skills to manage difficult situations.
You will also be delivering early intervention work, deliver training to our partner agencies, raise awareness of domestic abuse within our communities and adopt a key work approach so individuals presenting with additional needs can access support.
In this role, you will also support victims and survivors to monitor and manage risk and ensure the programme is delivered safely.
You will support clients to accept accountability for their behaviours and empower them to make positive changes to their behaviours.
