Location: Portsmouth (across Stop Domestic Abuse’s Portsmouth base, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary offices in Portsmouth and home working).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: This is a Fixed term contract for up to 2 years
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
This is an opportunity to join Stop Domestic Abuse as part of our behaviour change services by identifying and targeting serial and repeat perpetrators of domestic abuse known to the police. We recognise that management of perpetrators requires a multi-agency approach therefore this role will be co-located within the Portsmouth High Harm team to support in identifying and engaging of perpetrators of abuse. Part of this role will be to assess perpetrators of abuse to determine their suitability for behaviour change intervention (Up2U) to address intimate partner violence (IPV). Up2U: Creating Healthy Relationships is an innovative programme which seeks to reduce the incidents of domestic abuse, prevent the cycle of abuse and prevent re-victimisation. For individuals who do not respond to or engage with risk management plans and/or intervention, this role will support the police in the monitoring and other strategies.
It is essential that the post holder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes as this role covers multiple sites.
